This Privacy Policy explains how the EFT Marriage Counsellor Bot collects, uses, stores, and discloses information. For the purposes of this policy, the operator of the service is Michael Fackerell. This service is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, do not use the service or provide personal information through it.

  • chat messages, saved sessions, citations, and exported transcript requests
  • technical information such as IP address, browser, timestamps, and log data
  • service configuration and usage data needed to operate, secure, and improve the app

3. Sensitive information warning

Chat content may include relationship, emotional, health-adjacent, or other sensitive personal information. Do not use this service for emergencies or for information you do not want processed by an online AI service.

4. How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate users and control access to the app
  • generate chatbot responses and provide conversation memory features
  • save, load, list, delete, and export sessions at your request
  • secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to misuse or safety incidents

5. Service providers and disclosures

Information may be processed or stored by third-party providers involved in operating the service, including:

  • Clerk for authentication and account management
  • the configured AI provider or routing provider used to generate responses
  • hosting, logging, backup, and infrastructure providers

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, comply with law, or respond to lawful requests.

6. Overseas processing

Depending on the providers used, your information may be processed or stored outside Australia. Where that occurs, we aim to use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards, but cross-border transfer risk cannot be eliminated entirely.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, and disclosure. However, no internet service or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Retention

We retain account and session data for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, provide saved-session features, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce our terms.

9. Access, correction, and deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. We will use reasonable efforts to honor deletion requests, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, and operational constraints.
